Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) is a key component of Social Protection (SP) programming and delivery. The objective of M&E under the GPSNP 2 is to track key results of all SP programs and facilitate the measurement of the operational performance through an overall SP M&E framework and system. A result-based approach is being implemented under GPSNP 2 to provide guidance and direction to the various components. The framework provides high-level key performance indicators for the various components of the GPSNP 2 and a context for conducting evaluations. In addition, there is a comprehensive outline of how M&E will be undertaken at the various levels, as well as reporting lines and feedback systems under the framework. GPSNP 2 seeks to expand and enhance social safety nets and provide access to productive income-generating opportunities for poor and vulnerable households in Ghana.
